Stone Town is the historic district of Zanzibar City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The architecture of this spice-scented city is a blend of Arabic, Indian, European and African cultures. It is characterized by narrow streets that are inaccessible to cars. Transportation is done on foot, by bicycle or by motorbike.
In the past, the city was the center of the East African slave trade between Asia and Africa.
Enjoy a day full of unforgettable experiences. You will be picked up from your hotel after breakfast and your first stop will be a spice farm.
Zanzibar is world famous for its many spices and is sometimes called the "Spice Island". Here you will smell the countless spices such as cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, nutmeg and many others.
After the tour, you will be served a delicious lunch of many wonderful specialties.
The next stop on your tour will be Prison Island, famous for its giant tortoises. If the tide allows, you can swim in the crystal clear sea.
Back in Stone Town, your local guide will take you on an exciting tour and lead you through the narrow streets past mosques, temples, the Sultan's Palace, the famous food market, Zanzibar cafes and many other attractions. You decide how long you want your tour to be and how much you want to see. You can also go off on your own and get lost in the small streets after the tour or enjoy one of the many rooftops that Stone Town has to offer.
You decide when you want to return to your hotel. You arrange this yourself with your driver, who will be with you throughout the day.
